Hi got these 2 lil ones which I'm getting very attached too. approx 10 to 12 weeks old I'm guessing. Any ideas of breed and if I have hens or roos? I'm thinking the brown one is more hen and ISA brown X maybe and she /he does puff it's chest up to the black one like she wants a fight šŸ„ black one is so calm and I notice last 2 weeks isn't growing as large compared to the brown one. The brown ones legs are larger too. last 2 pics are today. Other pics are from around 2 weeks ago. Tia

Hi from local market. The last time I got 2 10week old from there one ended up being a rooster. I then read up on what to look for when buying these 2 and hope the size of the combs at this age shows true that they will be pullets. :)
Guy at market said brown is a hybrid. Black is austrolorp. But they will tell you anything I guess. I'm not fussed as long as they healthy.

I would say both are mixed breeds. You did really well picking pullets. Great job!
