Hi there, everyone! We just hatched out 23 chicks on Thanksgiving. I’m wondering if y’all can help us figure out what barnyard mix some of our chicks might be.

We have several yellow chicks with little black spots on them. All have single combs. Five of our yellow chicks came from leghorn eggs. We do know thst.

Then, we have only two that look like chipmunks wearing Egyptian eyeliner. Rose combs. No beards on the chipmunkies.

Here are the possibilities...

ROOSTERS
Black Jersey Giant
Barred Rocks
Blue Laced Red Wyandottes
Ameracaunas
Silver Laced Wyandotte

HENS
White Leghorns
Red Stars
RIRs
Buff Orpingtons
Silver Laced Wyandottes
Barred Rocks

Here are a couple pics to help! Thank you so much for any insight you can lend! Thanks!

We know the black ones with the white spot on their heads are some Barred Rock mix. We’re wondering about the chipmunck ones and the yellow chicks with tiny black spots. :) Only one of our yellow chicks has a beard.

Thank you so much! We just had our first broody hen hatch out eight eggs a little over a month ago. Now we’ve got these littles. The party never ends here on our little farm!
