Breed guesses?

I picked up a pullet at the farm store yesterday. The owner had no clue what breed this is.

The only two breeds that come to mind is a Deleware or Plymouth Rock Columnian color. Or maybe mixed breed. I'm guessing she's around 2-3 weeks of age.

If you need better pictures let me know. I didn't want to handle her too much yet until she is less stressed. Moving day is tough. She most likely came from a hatchery. She has pink legs with a faint black wash down the front.

its not barred in any shape it is silver laced or close to being silver laced as for breed its to early to tell its possible that its a mix

Plymouth rocks do come in a columbain color. The most popular is the barred color though. I didn't think it was a plymouth rock, but the leg wash is throwing me off. Plymouth rocks also have yellow legs in all the colors.

It will be very interesting to see what color eggs come from her. I've been reading that hybrids are excellent layers, so hopefully she's a mix. . The owner has no idea where she came from either. They sell 1800-2500 chicks a year and will order a specialty breed for you.

didn't say it wasn't a plymonth rock just made an "Out loud" observation that it wasn't barred in any shape but that i looked more silver laced and delawares have barring on their hackles and tails so i was also ruling that breed out. and if hatchery bird then its leg color could just be off

It sure is a mystery. I can't wait until she feathers out and lays. I'm assuming I'll get brown eggs, her ears are dark red already.

At least I know this is a pullet.. I'll post more pics in a few weeks when she feathers out more.

What breeds are silver laced with pink legs? Maybe we can figure out what she could be a part of.

Do you think this could be a silver laced polish mix? This chick was in the same bin as the silver laced polish. I've gotten a chick from the hatchery that was a mix before.
