What breed is this guy? Ad says he is 5mo old.

Maybe an Easter egger? Or a mix of some kind. My EE looks somewhat like him.

Definitely an Easter Egger! I have a much younger EE cockerel with almost his exact colors and with the little beard.

EE cockerel it is! I thought he was but the ad said "americauna". After looking at other ameracaunas I had doubts. Still very green when it comes to chicken breeds. All Im looking for is a good natured, calm, socialized roo that is attractive. What ever breed of roo I choose I hopefully will get hens of the same breed next year to add to my current flock. Thats the plan at least. Any experience with EE roosters? This guy sounds nice but... will he stay that way?

Everyone wants a good natured roo, I sure hope my little ones turn out that way! I don't have much experience with EE roosters, or any fully grown rooster at that but I've read lots of posts here about them. So far so good if he's nice at that age, so I'd definitely hang onto him and see how he turns out. Best of luck.

I bet they bought it under the name Americana. I bought mine from mcmurray hatchery and it was labeled aracona and um no it most certainly is not an aracona lol. They are all EE's so I'm not surprised people are misled and may post it under Americana. I love my EE mutts!

He is not mine yet. I saw an ad for him and I liked his looks and it said he was friendly. I need to find a new home for the current polish roo before I introduce a new boy. I'm just trying to find out what I'm looking at. Still new to this "chicken thing".

I keep running into that problem... sounds like it is a common mix-up!
