Can anyone tell me what kind of chicken these ladies are? I have 3 and they are the only ones in my flock I can’t identify. They are smaller than my barred rock, sex link & americanas. They lay small pinkish brown eggs that have two pointed ends (no fat end).

In the first photo, it’s all three of the visible hens. The coloring of the head and neck in the back one is more brown than white like the two in the front, but I know they are all from the same clutch, so def same breed.
In the second photo, it’s the one in the front I’m trying to identify.

Very Interesting. They are definitely some sort of silver grey/silver duckwing color variation (as seen in dorkings, welsummers and game bantams). However, they are a little different... no yellow legs (which is a strong welsummer trait) and to big to be bantams. However, dorkings are generally a little larger and have extra toes.

Are they all 4-toed? In pic 1, it appears like they don't all have the same type of comb... Are they all single combed (like the one in pic 2)?

They all have 4 toes and a single comb. The one w/the brown feathers on her head & neck has a much shorter comb.

I thought the same, they look similar to welsumer. I looked up dorkings and a lot of the photos looks just like my girls. The egg color isn’t right and they have less toes. So I wonder if they are a dorking cross?

I got another photo this morning, better side shot.

Could they possibly be a (standard-sized) Silver Duckwing Old English or Phoenix? :) Whatever they are, though, they're beautiful!

Oh I just looked up photos, they might be the Old English. So many breeds look similar, so hard to tell! I’m going to have to do more reading on them and see if I can figure out what they are. Thanks!

Silver Duckwing Old Englishes generally don't have slate legs (like the chicken pictured above). The build/eyes/face looks like an Iowa blue. However, the color is definitely silver grey/duckwing and has more gold/brown than Iowa blues... The eyes are definitely a bit dark for a phoenix or an English game. Comb is to small for a leghorn and legs and eggs are differently colored... Hmm... Where did you get them?

I'm very intrigued by this breed and am currently researching... I'll post what possibles I come up with. :)

Update: I looked over many breeding websites and the closest ones I came up with where Standard Old English (Duckwing) like most seemed to suggest as I did encounter some with slate legs. However, I can not say for certain that is what they are.
They look very pretty anyhow! :)

One of my Girl Scout families had 6 hens for a season, until it got cold and snowy, then realized they didn’t fit into their lifestyle so I took 3 of them. She didn’t know the breed, just the age. I also took 3 from another friend which were easy to figure out the breeds, but these guys are a bit illususive. They look a lot like the breeds mentioned, but they all have something off.... I thought for sure the double pointed eggs would help determine what they are. But guess not!
