This handsome boy was given to me by a friend.

Ricardo is very docile and my hens absolutely love him! He is definitely not aggressive. I would love to have an idea of what kind of rooster he is.

Looks a lot like a Black Copper Marans roo to me. Could also be a mixed breed but I'm not sure on that.

Thank you both! Yes, he is a large bird for sure, so it wouldn't surprise me if he did have some Brahma in him

I'm going to change up my answer a bit just because he doesn't have a single comb, like marans...I would still say he's at least part marans though, mixed with a little something else to give him that rose comb.
