Breed ID help

They look exactly like mine did. :( I don't think mine are necessarily cornish cross any more but definitely some sort of fast-growing broiler cross. They're about the size of 7-8 week olds at just 3 weeks old... </3 Mine are now growing out fuller feathers. Two are very reddish brown and one's white with funky black markings. The fourth though is all white. I'm so sorry for this! It is heartbreaking.

The TSC workers when I asked about it said they've been pushing up complaints and said they were mad on behalf of the customers because they get the chicks labeled and they have no way of knowing they were bred for meat birds at the store. At least at mine, they're doing what they can to try to get it to stop and hope the hatchery listens because it isn't right to do to customers expecting pets and/or eggs.

They are, however, some of the sweetest goofs of the batch. I definitely plan to order Turkens from a hatchery in the future where I know they aren't meat bird mixes. :[ But definitely won't be buying any yellow chicks from TSC again any time soon.

Wish I knew this was going on before purchasing. They’re definitely goofy though. Do you happen to have any pictures of yours currently? Trying to gauge how big these will get lol

Let me grab some of the currents but here’s the befores! The first pic was day of purchase, when they were a few days old on May 1st (day before my bday - I told hubby it was a birthday rescue mission. I got two non-naked necks in the bin just to see what they were too. Boy did that backfire) Second pic was as they and the chicks we got the day after from Cackle were a little older. Grabbing the currents now. I’m so sorry again you went through this! Definitely a heartbreaker.

Here is a few minutes ago! The wyandottes we got like a little less than a week before them. :(
Forgive the mess. Every time we do a deep full clean of the brooder, they get excited about fresh bedding and poop all over the place. 🙄🤭
We did a full deep clean day before yesterday. Time to do it again. My poor Polish is not injured, I don’t know why the lighting made it look like… that. 😂
They HAVE made me fall in love with Turken. Hoping we can get some super soon. Such babies!
