Good afternoon everyone!! The guessing game is *almost* over lol! We are 98% sure of their breeds as of now but some of you may want to help confirm?? I have updated pics of our “baby” chicks! They’re a whopping 7-8 weeks old !

The blue silkie (interesting tidbit on that one...read further to find out what) is approx 6-7 weeks old now so she/he is a tad bit younger than the other ones pictured.
One of the white Silkies and the blue splash (in the back) are from the same hatching and they’ll be 8 weeks old on Wednesday. They were both supposed to be white but one changed colors on me.
The rest of the bantams (some you can’t see much of because they were scratching around lol) are 8 weeks old today

.
Ok so previously, the chicks we got from
TSC we had a hard time determining their breed. Well, what we thought was a Silver Penciled Cochin Bantam now looks as though it’s a Partridge Cochin Bantam! At least to the best of my search ability it is!
We have three Red Cochin Bantams, one of which is a frizzle named Petunia.

She’s a precious little sweetheart and looooves people and attention! Unfortunately, you can’t see much of her in these pics lol.
Two of the chicks were sooo cute and fluffy and we guessed to be Mille Fleur d’Uccle. Well, after doing some more digging, I *think* based on comparing pics to a site that had several different chick pics, that these two may be BLUE Mille Fleur d’Uccle’s!!!

A little more time will tell for sure once their spots start really coming in!
The blue silkie we got from a local breeder, along with one of our white Silkies who at first, looked like she was a frizzle. Not sure if she is lol but, they’re both sweet. Blu has surprised us by turning out to be hard feathered and after talking to the breeder, she informed me it’s a Satin Silkie. I’ve yet to hear of those, until today.

Nevertheless, she/he is very sweet and will turn out to be lovely nonetheless! Just surprised at how she/he has turned out!
Enjoy the pics! Now as long as we can determine gender and hope they’re all female...

...that’ll take a little longer and I can update again then!
