Breed identification + is it a lady?

hello!

Around 11 weeks ago my wife and I embarked on our first chook journey. I never knew it would be so rewarding and fun watching them grow up.

Now, we only have 2 at the moment, I think the black one is an Australorp but I am unsure of what the yellowy one could be? I also fear the yellow one might be a Rooster! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Where did you get them? They look like mixed breeds, and the one on the right does look like a cockerel.

Both are mixed breeds possibly with Brahma because of the pea comb and lightly feathered legs.

thanks for your reply! i got them from a local hatchery - you think the one of the right is a cockerel! i thought the one on the left was more likely!

The one on the left is a cockerel. Might be Olive Eggers.

Yep, he's already starting to grow male specific saddle feathers.
