Breed of dog

Usually when I see a dog I know what breed it is, but I've not seen one like this. Maybe he's a mix? Either way he's very cute! Does anyone have any idea what he could be?

Yea. It is a milder version of saying mutt.

To me it looks like a small Newfoundland.

That's what I thought, but I never see stocky dogs liver colored like that, only retrievers. Maybe it's a Newfoundland/flat coated retriever mix? Whatever he is he looks like a big ole teddy bear

There are some dwarfism in Newfoundlands, to me it looks purebred but smaller.

Hmm maybe so, they can be that color though? I thought they were only black/black and white, but I could be totally wrong. I don't know a lot about the breed.
