Here is my gold sex linked at breakfast this morning. Same white on the tail, super sweet and very curious bird. She is about 14 weeks.
 
It looks to be a second generation sex link mix, so basically a red and white mutt layer. The sex link factor only works on the first generation, but then folks breed sex link to sex link and get birds of both genders that have various shades of red and white.

First generation red sex link roosters are predominantly white, with red patches on the wings.

Gold comet roosters don't look like the hens, they're white with red patches. That's the whole point of a sex link, the sex is linked to the color so they can be sexed at hatch. Again, it's only a one time thing, though.
