My RIR didn't look like that...maybe someone else can help...
Speckled Sussex maybe?

You think the 2nd one is a speckled sussex? I was thinking the 2nd was a RIR...... Unsure as to the 1st little chick.... They are both females.....I do know that much (or they are SUPPOSED to be females)

Could be a production red or a hatchery New Hampshire, either one. Were they reddish or more yellowish as chicks? NHs tend to be yellowish as chicks, then their wings come in that way, they turn more orangey, then the speckles clear out as they mature.

#1 is a NH chick--I picked up three from an Ideal shipment at the feed store one time, gave one to a friend and kept two so I know the stages they go through. The second one looks like a RIR chick.
