breed question and another question...

My lil rooster is 15 weeks old today and yes he's definitely a rooster! But, we were told he was a silkie (he was hatched in my son's science class as a project) and he obviously isn't a full bred silkie, although he is small and does has pretty feathers. Any idea what breed he could be? Mostly asking because I don't know if the color on his cheeks is normal. If you can see in the pic his cheeks, or right below his cheeks, have an irridescent blue color instead of a red color and I don't know if this is normal or if there is something wrong. Anyone have any ideas?

he is mixed with a silkie, the comb is wrong and there's no feathers in the legs, don't know what he's mixed with sorry

The blue is your chick's earlobes. Silkies have blue ones. He's a handsome little guy.
