Hello!

I got two new chickens to add to my flock in September. I currently have a Black Autralorp, Barred Rock, Light Brahma. The new additions are now about? 24 weeks. It was not a good breeder. Lesson learned as I got my previous chickens from them and these were replacements. The black chicken, Jelly Bean, was supposed to be a Black Australorp. Clearly not so, as I have one. The other Reese's (white and tan) is supposed to be a Easter Egger. Wondering if anyone knows what I ended up with or if they are just little chicken mutts. =) The black chicken is quite pretty and very big, same size as my Light Brahma! (Not laying yet - I live in CT and its cold and dark). I'm not a breeder but just curious. Thanks!!

EEs ARE mutts. Yes, you have an EE and another crossbred. I would have said BSL if not for her eyes and face, BUT, either way, she is a crossbred. Likely has Black Australorp in her. Both are pullets. The EE (one with the beard) will likely lay blue or green. She is gorgeous. The other bird is likely a brown egg layer.

Thanks! Yes, sorry, I do the know the EE are mutts, grew up with a bunch and they were fun, silly chickens! And glad they are pullets. Thank you very much! I am really excited to see when they start laying. We all enjoyed the colorful eggs, so I'm hoping they do =)
