Breed question

Oh yes... Sorry! It just confuses me to no end when Cackle has "Red Star Sex-Link," "Golden Comet," and "Cinnamon Queen" chicks for sale, and all the females mature reddish with white tails. If they're all the same cross, then why do they sell them as separate "breeds"?

But I do believe that Delawares, White Rocks, and Light Sussex will make red/black pullets, and Rhode Island Whites will make red/white pullets (just forgot there for a minute, very sorry). I am hopefully going to be hatching some of my friend's RIR x SLW chicks next spring. I'm excited to see what I'll get, red/black pullets, or red/white. I'll let ya'll know!

I have no idea why they do that, maybe all those snazzy names make them more salable so maybe they figure they will call them all these different names and maybe at least one of the names will sound cooler to the buyer than just Red Sexlink but if you look at their pics, they all look the same. And also notice that they dont tell you what the parent stock are for those three like they do for the Black Sexlinks and the Red Sexlinks that use the Delaware hens for. Adn then with those Cinnamon Queens, I've read in a sexing book somewhere and have seen several people post it on here that a RIR or NHR roo with SLW hens makes the Cinnamon Queens, but if so, then they would have rose combs and I have never seen a rose comb sexlink, not a commercially bred one anyway, and then like back to the white tail deal, the Cin Queens that Cackle has pictured are single combed and white tailed and if the SLW was the mother then they wouldnt have white tails, they would be black. I have a sexlink pullet from a BO roo on a SLW hen and she is buff columbian with a black tail.
So its hard to believe what hatcheries say about the parent stock of there hybrids, becuase of course they dont want you to go breed your own, they want you to buy from them.
