I just picked up some bantams, a first for me.
This one looks like a wyandotte, with her baby:

...and without her baby:

And I have two girls that kinda look like cochin BO bantams:

Thanks for any help!

Adam

Yeah-looks like the first may be a columbian wyandotte and the others are buff cochins.

I would have to disagree about the first one. That bird has a single comb, so she's not a wyandotte, possibly a light sussex??

The buffs are cochins.

do sussex look like that?

They have a similar type and the color fits, can't think of anything else offhand.

Thanks for the response. You all really know your chicken! Well, anyway, it's much appreciated!

your black and white bantams could be light brahmas. The pom-pom tail is my unofficial and totally unscientific way to distinguish light brahmas from other Black white birds. Another way is their temperament. Light brahmas are docile, easily handled, much like cochins. Wyandottes can be testy or dominant in the barnyard.

Just my .02 cents.

Great birds regardless.
