Breed

Hello and welcome to BYC!! It’s so nice to have you join us. welcome.gif

Your rooster is a handsome fellow! His final disposition can depend on several things; the breed/breeds he consists of, how the generations prior were selected and how you handle him. It sounds promising that he's really laid back. But whether you handle him or not...he should always respect you and your space. The way you act around him can directly influence how he learns to treat you. You don't have to be abusive...but you should be the dominant flock member. From your actions and use of space, he should never even begin to size you up or look to challenge you. He's a clean slate at this point.
