I have the rooster, 2 rhode island reds, 1 black sexlink, 1 wyandotte and 1 plymouth rock. It's very strange, the rooster and reds hang together and the black n whites hang together. They have self segregated. Only the reds are laying. I'm hoping the blacks are going to start laying soon.
Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
