I really would like to know for better care what the breed is. Someone in another thread said that my ducks might be buff mix. Can anyone tell what mix. I have six. One has olive green beak but that is the only difference between them all.

That's the way they were brought home. My husband just put them in the basket till I got there. They are now three months old and I noticed this morning that they are a lighter than than look in this pic.

Thanks. Knowing the breed helps. We could not find any local and settled for Taxtor Supply in the town nearest us. I'm disappointed that they do not tell you what the breed is.

I was thinking Campbells too but the coloring did not seem to match up based on the pics I saw.

Thank you all. Now that they have grown a little more their coloring has changed and they are Khaki's.

Question: do they fly? We live in the northern tier of New York and many have lost ducks to to flocks flying over. If so how can we clip their wings to prevent this? Our ducks are free range with the chicks. We have a creek that runs through the property and although I have never seen a flock stop and take a drink I'm concerned.
