You have the means to acquire Elizabeth ducks?
Wow...

You would do a very good thing if you bought Elizabeth ducks only, and breed them then : they are an endangered breed, so it would be great if you could help saving them!

I know, I really want them and to breed them because of that but because of the size of my property (and I rent) I am only allowed 2 ducks. So this makes it hard to breed them. However I will save the contact and once I get my own place I think I will try to breed them regularly to help out the population

I don't know where you live, but since you know where to find Elizabeth ducks, I'm going to assume there is a 50% chance you could also find Watervale ducks...?

Yes it is! But I feel lucky to have learnt about them and this way when I do have a property that allows more than 2 ducks I can go back and start breeding them!

Oh interesting! Thanks for sharing that. I’ll give them a look into as well. Who knows, maybe in 12 months time I’ll be breeding both! Haha

It would be amazing if you did!!
Just do remember to keep them separated by breed at least 3 weeks before incubating the eggs!

And if you do acquire Elizabeth and/or Watervale ducks, do post (a lot of) pictures, please...?
These ducks look incredible, but it is hard to find pictures of them...

(But of course, I hope you find ducks that bring you happiness - whatever the breed you choose eventually, even if it is not a rare one!)
