Breeding a new rooster

I have 1 year old hens. We just got a 4 mo old rooster. How long will it take for the hen's eggs to be fertile?

Hi! Roosters can be fertile when they are quite young. It seems like here, the smaller the breed, the younger the mating begins (the exception being Silkies).

Have you seen him mating your girls yet?
