I have a year old Embden Gander that has been mating with an older goose. Just wondering if her eggs will be fertile.

The first few might not be fertile, as the young gander will probably need to practice for a while.

I would bet that at some point this spring he will get it all figured out, and the eggs will be fertile.

Good luck

I have observed their "Dance" and he is hitting the mark. I was just wondering if he can be fertile at such a young age. The goose laid her first egg today.

Yes they can be fertyile as yearlings but not reliably, especially the very large exhibition Embdens. Their fertility is better at 2 years old and they're more experienced with courtship and mating

The Embden's sister laid an egg today. I wasn't expecting any until next year as she is only a year old as well.
