breeding and egg laying

I have a few Miles and Silkies hens and one roo(bantams). My question is at what will they start laying and will they hatch their own young?

Most silkies do go broody, but not every chicken is the same. It will just depend on your chickens and if they decide to go broody or not. Silkies can start laying eggs later then other breeds also. I know of a few that were around 30 weeks. Have never had Miles so can't help there.
