Thanks it helped me alot!

So-I have a dog that is excellent quality. His full sister is very much the same. Are you saying if we bred the two, we would get GREAT pups, or would some be good, and others bad?
BTW-this is very interesting!

It depends completely on the particular genetics of the two dogs in question. Impossible to answer without knowing their pedigrees and the characteristics of the dogs in the pedigrees.

We were referring to chickens i would talk to a vet or dog breeder before i made that decision.
Breeding a dog based on what we are saying about chickens doesn't sound very wise IMHO

I t was a theoretical question-I have the male and my brother has the female, we live 500 miles apart, so it wouldn't happen anyway! I don't like hearing about breedings that close, because it seems like too many things could easily go wrong.

I think it all depends on which gene is the dominate gene. If the"A" gene is the dominate gene then you could have another AB when the original AB mates with BC or BD. If I am not mistaken. But then again I could be.

so i have a small flock of 8 jersey giants with one of them being a rooster i was woundering how long i can breed them to keep my flock going or should i just get a new rooster to put in for a new blood line every year or 2 i wouldnt mind ordering a a few when i do put in my order for meat birds cause i really do like these birds my rooster i have seem really friendly and so are the rest of them so would it be a good thing to order like 5 strait run chicks every year from different hatcheries or just let them in breed
