Hello everyone
Long time no see
I have started breeding Jersey Woollies- I have 2 does, a black (will talk about this one later) and a blue. I also have a lilac (maybe blue/still trying to figure this out) Netherland dwarf x Jersey woolly buck, which I've been breeding to my lilac doe to get denser coated babies... The 2 litters she has had were gorgeous- 3 lilacs and 3 blues, and were all able to find homes as pets. However, I'm getting interested in the BEW coloured rabbits and have found a male which I would like to adopt.
I have been doing my research, and I read I shouldn't breed BEW to lilac or chocolate rabbits because it can cause a purplish colour in the eyes, not blue. So, I have my black doe. BUT, she has one white leg/stripe coming up her leg into her neck. I thought she was broken, but she only has that one white part. Is it possible that she is Vienna marked? If she was and I bred her to the BEW buck, I would get BEWs in the litter, but what would happen if she wasn't Vienna marked and just broken? I haven't got a picture of her now but I have uploaded a photo from the internet of what they look like (both does). The photo similar to my black doe is of a lionhead buck, said to be Vienna marked. She looks exactly like this.
any help would be appreciated
