Through the years, I have tried out many breeds and varieties of chickens. The one that I have settled on to dedicate myself to is the Buff Chantecler. I own bantams, but there does exist a large fowl version. I am currently on my fourth generation of birds, counting my starting stock, and have about 20-25 total. My hope is to find some other Chantecler breeders and have a place to post images of new hatches, growouts, and adult birds. Below are some of this year's stock.

My main goals right now are working to remove the Leghorn type that I'm seeing bleed through in the heads and chests. I had a hen last year with more of a cochin type that I crossed with a more Leghorn leaning rooster with good results. Birds of this generation are looking more solid and still retaining decent backlines without much cushion.
