I will be attending/showing at Crossroads. Unfortunately, no buff leghorns. Because of sudden family issues, I am selling the whole flock of buffs tonight

Yes, however, you are selling them to a friend so you'll know where to come in 4 years (after college) to get into them again.

See you tonight.

Of course Tammy. If you want me to take out a couple to Indianopolis to show for you, I'll do that for ya

Hannah, I am so sorry to hear you had to sell your leghorn flock.

I am fortunate to have gotten some.

I will not be at Indianapolis.

Question- It will soon be time to think about culling my excess males-I plan to keep the best 2 out of 6. All of the color seems about the same. There are some size differences, and comb differences. What should I be looking for in terms of good and bad traits overall? My inclination would be to select the bigger male with the widest back and shanks, but, that's just me.

That is a good starting point with those traits. Type is very important also so watch for some length of leg and thigh and a good back with concave outline. Then when it comes down to close ones you can use good combs and earlobes.Good combs that do not fold, have a blade that does not follow the head and free from thumbmarks.Lobes I look for wide rounder shaped ones rather than narrow or small.
