Ok, but YOU were talking about kill shelters. Totally different thing!

Yes there are good and bad shelters, but the fact remains that most of the animals in those shelters are owner surrender. Which goes back to the OP's questions about breeding.

I was talking about both. kill shelters and non kills blame everyone else for their problems. And both do kill animals.

Just because the owner surrendors it does not mean its the breeders fault. In a lot of areas, most of the dogs are stray mutts.

I know more farmers, disabled, you name it that never have a dime to there name that take better care of there pets an know more about taking care of pets than any shelter worker I have ever met. I'm sorry but saying someone shouldn't have a pet an cant take care of one because they don't have a set amount of cash in there pocket is just plain bigotry.

So do I.

Alot of shelters seem to operate like this one nowadays.

Now if that were a breeder they'd be treated like a criminal, and put in jail. I heard these guys got just a slap on the hand.

and i would love to know which shelters are out there are making a profit. All the ones around here depend on volunteers. They don't have a board of directors, with a CEO, like American Redcross making 6 digits.

Just google rabbits and pugs seized minnesota. You will come up with several different versions of the same story. Nothing but a bunch of lies made up about that person. They even went as far as making a website, posting personal information about that person, and the court case. The court made them take it down. She stood up to them and fought it, and got quite a few of her animals back. Some didn't even belong to her. They still took them and spayed and neutered them, and adopted them out before the court case.. The breeder they busted was on the showbunny list. So were several others that knew her, and her facility.

Stray mutts came from a humans irresponsibility somewhere along the line. Period. A shelter does not create the problem, that's a joke. They are trying to help the problem someone else created. Any animal that ends up in a shelter or rescue, has been failed by a human at some point along the line.

where are the pics, I see a big dude getting arrested, no pic of the bad situations the animals were in. TMZ would have been all over this.
