i have a short video of him, from the other day, interacting with a visiting chicken. We're trying to decide if the visitor is a hen or roo. The tail, comb, wattles, and stance, all say rooster. The rump, and behavior, along with lack of saddle feathers, says hen. We are just figuring either he's very young, and under-developed, or she's a very "butch" girl. Either way, none of my neighbors claim the bird, so, I'm going to try to catch it, isolate it, to check for health issues, then add it to the flock, and love it, regardless if it's a boy or girl. It is a beautiful bird. Appears to be a New Hampshire Red.
But, I cannot seem to figure out how to upload a video. Just technologically challenged.

So how will you be setting up to select for improved behavior? Are you expecting to have it so everyone uses similar criteria?
At this point we're still convincing some that this can even be done. Some very good points have been brought up concerning different behaviors, etc.
For right now, there are no groups working on this. It's all individual.
