BREEDING FOR PRODUCTION...EGGS AND OR MEAT.

BYC is almost the worst I've been on. I have no ad blocker. Laptop, not good, almost used profanity.
$25 dollar store phone though? !!
Awesome in mobile! Ads are not even noticeable.

I suppose these "free" forums have to be supported in some way or other, I don't mind the static ads so much, but the autorun videos drive me nuts, as do those pop up things that turn your screen dark and butt in- like those wretched sign up for free email things. aaarghh!!!

Went to collect the daily duck egg and discovered she'd laid it under the broody hen with the Muscovy eggs. I'll have to candle tonight and see if I can figure out which egg it is.

Yes!

That is what the Golden Feather membership is about! You can turn off ads with it.

Ronott1, how are those Arkansas blue egg layers working out?
I have two left. They are back to laying 5-6 eggs each a week.

Are you going to get some? They are good egg layers but are not good for meat.

I still processed the cockerels though.

imuttsfan is going to have eggs ready in April.

Unfortunately getting poultry across the border is a real pain (and and expensive one) so I have to admire those blue layers (and a bunch of other breeds) from afar. I'm mostly interested in egg layers myself, meat birds not so much. I'm keen on my Dark Cornish for their egg characgteristics too! So far for a meat breed I've been impresses (they are not exhibition birds though). A very interesting breed, those Cornish.
