I'd need to work way too hard to be the "neighborhood" nut around here ... old curmudgeonly retired Navy guy may have that honor, but the hermit who lives behind the red-orange gate is the one who does not get visitors.

BTW, anyone hear from George today? According to the news, NC and SC are getting hit hard and flooding ... do we have anyone else in SC or NC that might be in the flood zone?

For *me* to be saying that ... gives you an idea about what kind of characters were here before we moved in. When we lived up in Clarksville, I was definitely the neighborhood nut, and that was with more neighbors. The upside to living here is everyone who has heard me mention a canning party knows what that is.
