I have a question I can't seem to find an answer on. Probably my lack of bad search terms.

How are chicken breeds created with a mix flock?

Meaning with Dogs, If a Boxer and a lab mate, then you have a boxer/lab mix, not a pure boxer or a pure lab.

So if you have a Maran Rooster and Polish Hens and an egg hatches are they the breed of the hen or a mix?

Thanks in advance. I am not trying to breed/hatch, it is just an "I have no idea" when people ask me.

You get the same thing as you get with mixed breed dogs. Barnyard mutts. Or, if you prefer, "mixed breed chickens". If you can keep track of who's who, you can say, "He's an EE/Brahma cross."(Or whatever two breeds you're mixing) I can't do that anymore, I'm on my 3rd year of mixing and matching. Now all I say is, "It's a mutt." My current layers are mixed breeds , bred by my mixed breed rooster. Personally, I love my mutts. I have no idea what I'm going to get when they hatch, and I have lots of variety in my coop. It's always an adventure.
