Breeding lavender roo to other colors

Lavender/self blue experts. My understanding is the Lavender gene requires two genes to present and the Lavender gene dilutes black and buff. A double expressed Lavender gene mixed with a buff creates porcelain but a single gene Lavender roo mixed with a buff would result in what? Trying to use the Lavender gene to hide black faults in buff then breed offspring back to buff. (I have a Lavender roo) Not sure if this theory is sound. Also what would I get if I crossed him to a blue hen

Actually a buff bird with two lavender genes would be straw colored, not porcelain.
A black male carrying one gene for lavender crossed with a buff female would give you black/buff birds like this

Well first, if he has only one lavender gene, it’s going to be hard to fix, since he will be black, and you won’t know which offspring he passes it to. And second, crossing buff with lavender will make it impossible to make buff. Apart from the fact that they will be straw, not buff, the black extenders that make the lavender “self-colored” are now going to be what you are trying to push out. There is no shortcut to a good buff. Just keep breeding buffs with less and less black and more rich, even color.
If you breed a black to a blue it will give you 50 percent blue, 50 percent black. Same with lavender to blue.
Is your rooster lavender or not? If he only has one copy of lavender then he’s black.

Agree with Amer. Lavender isn't your answer.
If you really understand genetics and breeding and want to go that route to clean up buff use dominate white.
Be warned that will also bring in other genes that you will need to understand and breed out.
