Breeding my crested Ducks

I was thinking about something with spikes. One was on her, the other was pinning her head down. Was that the "wing man"?

Some drakes will do that. My runner would knock the K/C drake off a hen. The K/C eventually had to go.

I have a black crested that looks almost exactly like yours, and she is the favorite of my 13 ducks. She is the alpha duck of the group and far to smart for her own good. I have had her for three years and will admit that her eggs have a higher rate of failure to hatch. Some eggs don’t develop and others die while hatching. She has successfully hatched out two ducklings (she usually only sits on 3-4 eggs), one had a crest the other did not. Her mates are a black magpie and a silver magpie. The non crested duckling was pure black like her, the crested was silver and looks like a Swedish duck, and like her mother is far or smart. I hope this info helps.
