I could tell at 9 weeks. Look for thicker legs and more of a tail and a slightly more upright tail. That would be a cockerel. As well, perhaps a slightly more angular look to the face for a cockerel. As well, the comb will be redder and slightly larger for a cockerel.I needed to know the same, glad you asked. Lots of great info in the answers! Also wanted to ask you since you mentioned the Ams, about how old were your when you could begin to tell the difference of the pullets vs. cockerel? I am having a very hard time telling with mine.
