Breeding Project?

After I sell enough of my birds I will begin a breeding project. What breed should I start with? I have Orpingtons, Sussex, Rocks, Wyandottes, Australorpes, Silkies, Brahmas, Cochins, Old English Game, Ameraucanas, Easter Eggers, Silkies, and Sebrights. I have Old English Game, Sebright, Silkie, and Brahma roosters. I am thinking Old English Game. Opinions?

Oh boy....so many breeds! I personally really like Buff Brahmas and Orpingtons. But my advice is to pick what you love!

Both of the breeds I mentioned have nice temperments and are great dual purpose breeds.....and they're so pretty too.

I'd start with a list of those that are perfectly suited to your climate and then pick the ones from that list that are adaptable to your circumstances (i.e. housing, free range). From that short list, pick the one that meets all your needs and you admire most. (egg laying, meat quality, color, etc..)
