Breeding question

I have a small mixed flock that will need some younger blood next year. Rather than buy chicks I was going to let nature take its course & hope for the best.
My question is this:
How long do I need to keep the chosen hen mothers seperate from the flock to ensure that I have chicks by my chosen roo. Right now the hens are together with 3 different roos.

Many breeders use three weeks but it is possible for a hen to still be fertile from a rooster at 3-1/2 weeks. Rare but possible. 4 weeks is real sure.

Three weeks probably does it. Four weeks guarantees that the chosen rooster is the sire.
