Breeding questions..Can you help?

Right now I have 2 temp. pens for my Turkens and Australorps. I'm letting them breed and become purebreed eggs. So far so good.

My question is in the Aussi. pen there are 4 chickens, Turkens 3 in pen. Right now I have XL dog houses for them to lay in and they sleep in them too. Will this many chickens per house be WARM enough for winter? 4 and 3. I don't want them to freeze to death. I'm in IL, so winter are not terrible but not luck Florida.

Not sure what XL means as far as measurements, but as long as it is draft free with some ventilation and room for feed and water and to roost and lay eggs, then it should be ok
