Breeding questions? Lav orpington

Hello, so I've acquired two lavender orpington roosters. And wondering about genetics etc. I'm thinking off buying some fertile eggs to go with them. I can get lavender araucana eggs reasonably close by. But, How would they cross with the orpington? Would i get lavender colour etc?
Ive been doing shaver x barred rock roo to eventully replace our laying shavers. So also have barred rock cross shaver hens? What would be the out come if they were crossed?
Or what do people normally cross with lav orpington?

A barred hen bred by a non barred rooster would produce a black sex link. Black pullets barred cockerels.

Lavender over lavender creates lavender; it doesn't matter if the breeds are different. What does matter is the egg color. If you cross a tan laying Orp with blue layer you'll get a pale green egg layer.

The shaverXrock is going to bring in rust leakage that doesn't look good on a blue bird. Well grey really, Lavender is a light blue that breeds true. Need to add to this that the offspring will be split for lavender but show black and still red leakage. It's the next gen you'll get back some lavender again but that red will still be there. You already know the barring stuff I think, that can be bred out or kept, your choice. It's that red you'll be hard pressed to ever get rid of.

Thanks for all that. The barred rocks are just going to be egg layers not showen or anything. I would like to do full lavender orpingtons but I can't find any hens or egg around me, i can get the lav araucana tho, so might give that a go.

My experimenting with LO is the chicks come out lavender, of course my hens are mostly blue isbar, haha, but I have eggs in my incubator right now that are all kinds mixed with pure LO roosters, I will post picks. below is one chick that was LO mixes with a black EE

Remember lavender not only dilutes black but also dilutes red/gold.
Any red leakage will be diluted to a straw or lighter color.

Lavender is recessive so to get lavender chicks both parents have to be lavender or split to lavender.
