Breeding Red Rangers

You want to market the chicks? I wouldn't, those birds are still going to be big eaters, but not great layers. So unless you have access to tons of free or very inexpensive feed then they are gonna eat you out of house and home.

I would think your money making opportunity with this breed would be to raise the chicks you buy, and sell the adults, alive or butchered. I would assume the market interested Red Rangers instead of Cornish X's is going to want them fed organically. This will increase your cost, so I would see if you have people interested in purchasing these birds before you even order the chicks.

Just my thought, but have never tried to breed and sell meat birds so I may be off base here.

I would personally do a more prolific egg layer specialty meat bird like Bresse.
