I'm sure it's depending on the original stock I found the f1 generation color sexing did the opposite. The vast majority of the light colored chicks turned out to be roosters and the vast majority of the dark colored chicks were pullets. There were exceptions. But off the top of my head this color sexing of the second generation was close to 80% maybe even a little more.

It may well vary from flock to flock depending on which silver gene hens were used in the Red Sex Link cross. When my Red Sex Links had offspring, color sexing was reliable maybe 60% of the time, and having done some meticulous egg counts, there was somewhat of a drop off in egg production (still very good but not quite the same amazing rate as the RSL parents).
