breeding roosters??

is there ever a time when a rooster becomes infertile and you should stop breeding him because you never get any viable hatching eggs?
 
We've got an old feller that 6 years old and still going strong. That said, he's done. He's produced youngsters better than he, so we've no need for him any longer. The answer to your question is fuzzy, because it depends on the health and vigor of the individual, of course. Yes, age catches up with them, for certain.
