Breeding season is in full swing in Australia!

Candled the latest lot of eggs due in a few days, looks like they are all dead??? I'm really stumped as to why? the broody sits very tight and is not flighty at all..... I thought maybe she didnt roll the eggs enough? Oh well can win them all I spose, hopefully the next lot will fair better.

It hate it when things like that happen. This breeding season I had a clutch of eggs not hatch, and when I opened the shells, there where dead peachicks. Two white and the rest india blue split to white...
Hopefully your next hatches go better!

Thanks Blue Creek Farm :) I know, it's very heartbreaking, especially to get so far! We have only about a month left of breeding here, males drop their trains pretty much on christmas day. Well give or take. Next lot of eggs due are about another 10 days yet! candled tonight and all have plump dark blood vessels and are moving around alot, so fingers crossed, I'm paranoid now after the last lot.

Sorry about that bunch of eggs. :hugs

Haha, it's all over red rover! Let the adults out for the off season to enjoy some freedom! 3 new whites hatched and another 9 fertile eggs to go..... Not bad if I do say so myself :p
