Breeding Silver based black to Gold based black?

I’d like to focus on breeding my black ameraucanas seperately from my blues. I have a question for those of you who breed blacks. What happens if you breed a black that is silver based with one that is gold based? Can you tell if you do so? I don’t plan on doing it intentionally, but I can’t be sure which base some of mine are. There is no way to know if a black is silver or gold based without test breeding somehow I imagine? How would you do that? Or are there other things to look for? Does chick down color correlate at all? I have some black chicks that hatched out with super yellow down on their bellies and some with white. Grateful for any advice on this subject. Thanks in advance.

The extended Black chick down yellow underbelly color can't be used to tell if the blacks are based on Silver or Gold doing a test mating is the only way to be sure, using a black based rooster with a silver or gold hen line will produce hens that will inherit only the males sex linked genes, but it's imperative that you used non red enhanced birds because even Silver based hens with Mahogany will show some form of gold/red on body, with plain old silver hen it will be best
