Breeding with birchen

Does blue birchen, splash birchen and black birchen breed the same as regular BBS? Is birchen always silver based or is there a gold birchen? How dominant/recessive is birchen? Any info you can throw my way about the birchen pattern would be greatly appreciated.

Birchen is an e series and therefore will be affected by the blue gene in the same way an extended black bird is. It can be silver or gold, though usually as a plumage pattern it is reserved for silver; black copper marans, for example, are red birchen.

It is dominant over eb partridge and e+ wild type, with more leakage in wheaten mixes. I'd expect little leakage in an ER/E mix.
