Breeding

If you put your rooster with some hens for lets say 2 days then seperate them how long will that breeding provide fertile eggs??Thanks for any info

That would depend if he actually successfully mated in those 2 days. I would wager to guess he didn't. Most roos (and hens) take more than a couple days to get acquainted and get the job done. After fertility is confirmed, I would expect it to last for 2-3 weeks, sometimes up to a month (but that's pushing it). Through my own tests, I have confirmed 3 weeks fertility after separation from the roo.
