I have a male and a female runner ducks. I would like for them to have babies but am not sure how to get it going or it’s there’s anything I can do to get them to mate... any advice?

Once they are old enough, getting them to mate is not a problem. In fact, since you only have one female he may over do it. Runners are not known for brooding though. You will probably have to hatch and brood yourself .

When they are ready they will mate. They don’t hide it either. They do it all the time.

How old are they?

My female is 3.5 years old and my male is about a year old. I’m worried he won’t mate with her because she’s the older one

She’ll throw herself on him or that’s the way my Runner females do with their drakes.
