breeds for goslings?

Right now I am looking into a breed of geese. I'm specifically looking for a colorful breed with black skin and large in size. Also opinions in your favorite breed.

Are there hatcheries you would recommend with good reputation. I heard that they sometimes mix up breeds so I would like a hatchery that is known for not doing that.

Not sure there's a hatchery out there that will give you provenance for their birds and there's a couple of reasons for that. You'll need to look up breeders who focus on the SOP through the Livestock Conservancy https://livestockconservancy.org/heritage-breeds/breeders-directory/

That said I've had overall good luck with Meyer Hatchery. Others have said good things about Metzer's. Others you might consider are McMurry and Cackle, or Sand Hill Preservation Center.
