Breeds or mixes?

I bought all 3 hens at a local auction. I am curious if they are real breeds or just barnyard mixes? And if anyone could tell what breeds they might be mixed with. Whatever they are is fine with me, just curious

I know nothing about OEGB's or phoenix's, but was thinking Gigi looks like pictures I've seen of those - and then I noticed in your signature that you have both of those breeds already, so I'm guessing for whatever reason she doesn't meet the criteria for either of those....

I have not a clue on the second hen, Jasper. I would guess a mix of some kind. She looks like a bowl of confetti on with wings.

I like birds that are easy to pick out in a crowd.

I was thinking NHR for Jenna, but noticed her legs don't appear to be yellow - are they whitish or gray? - and I don't think my NHR's have any white on them...

What do you think they are?

Too cute! She was the reason I snatched up the box. I saw all those colors and had to have her lol.

I have no clue what Jasper is or what mixes she could be. Both of the big hens have white legs. My only guess with Jenna is maybe Partridge rock (because of the lacing in her feathers), or PR mixed with RIR or NHR?

I think Gigi is an OEGB, but I have no clue what color. I only have a few young ones and they are mottled and silver or OEGB mixes.

You could always do what I did and create your own name for your mixed breed birds

For example, a confetti feathered blonde legger.

A Norwegian NHR (for the white feathers)

I'll leave Gigi for you - or someone else - to come up with a breed name idea for...

GiGi is an Old English Game bantam in Black breasted red.

Jenna is a rhode island red.

Looks to me like Jasper and Jenna had the same father. They've both got those birchen markings somewhere in their feathers.

Jenna doesn't look much like my RIR. My RIR has darker feathers and none of that lacing. Do some RIRs have lacing?

I wouldnt be surprised if they have the same father, seeing as they came from the same farm.

Gigi is a black breasted red OEGB!! Well at least one of them is a `normal` breed lol.
