What chicken breeds are known for being very good with hens and protecting them?

Also what breeds will actually attack a predator that poses a threat rather than running off?

My friends pheonix attacked and chased off a fox i was so SHOCKEd and impressed! MY friend claims that its not the first time hes done it!

Is it all oriental breeds that are like this?

During the day when roosters can see they are tough animals with those huge spurs! are well capable of defending themselves from a smaller or similar sized predator

Games are very protective and wary, but they can be taken down by predators just like the more laid back chickens. Wish I could breed a chicken that could take on all predators, but with my luck- They would attack me first!! [IMG]
